Putaway is the process of moving received goods from the receiving area to their designated storage locations within the warehouse. It ensures that inventory is organized, trackable, and ready for future picking operations.

End to End Process Flow

Putaway in Mobile (RF)

1. Go to mobile’s menu and choose Putaway.

1. From the putaway’s menu choose “Scan”.

1. Fill in all the prompted fields.

• Scan container ID.
• Scan Item Number.
• Scan Putaway Location suggested.

Putaway location might not be suggested if the **Pick Put Rules are not properly configured** or not assigned to the package. Ensure that the rule group is correctly set up and applied to define valid storage zones, location types, and item handling logic. Misconfiguration can lead to the system from not determining an appropriate destination for the incoming stock.

• Enter Quantity to putaway.

Input field will be displayed one by one after validated.

1. Click confirm.
2. Putaway Successful message is displayed.

Further Reading

• After completing the putaway, you can visit the Inventory Query page to verify stock availability, locations, and inventory details.
• Once items are successfully put away and inventory is updated, you can proceed with the Outbound Process to begin fulfilling sales orders or shipments.
